OnePlus 7T – World’s First Smartphone With Android 10

On 26 September 2019, OnePlus has released the brand new OnePlus 7T  in the Indian market. It is the first smartphone of 2019 which runs on the Android 10. There is a lot change in its design as compared to the OnePlus 7 Series. The Shenzhen-based technology company has been making flagship devices only to deliver the best Android flagship experience possible to its users. With the launch of this latest flagship products with robust performance, bold designs and an ultra-smooth display, OnePlus aims to enrich the digital experience of consumers across the globe by challenging the incumbents in the smartphone sector with a premium flagship experience.

The OnePlus 7T is a combination of style and substance, with industry-leading technology including the super smooth 90 Hz display, and new triple-camera set-up, and unmatched user experience. OnePlus also offers a lot to its Indian customer like cloud storage of 55 GB which extends the storage to next level.



Talking about design, The OnePlus 7T has the curved glass back with the metallic color finish. Both front and rear glass has the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 6. It has a little water drop notch holding the front camera and a triple rear camera setup. OnePlus 7T is available in two color options – Glacier Blue and Frosted Silver. Both colors looks amazing and gives the premium look to the device They have provided a slider on the right side which send the device directly to silent mode. The dimensions of the flagship device are 160.94 x 74.4 x 8.13 mm and weigh around 190 grams.

Display & Camera

OnePlus 7T has a 6.55” inches Fluid AMOLED Full HD+ Screen (1080 x 2400 Pixels) with aspect ratio of 20:9 and refresh rate up to 90 Hz. It has the protection of Gorilla Glass 6. The colors looks punchy on this one and the color balance is well developed. OnePlus 7T also has the dark theme which can be activated under the display option in settings. Because of the 90 Hz refresh rate you won’t face any lags or frame drops while gaming. Also it the fluid display makes this smartphone makes very smooth and OnePlus 7T is a Major Go.

The OnePlus 7T has a the SONY IMX586 sensor. The front camera is of 16 MP with f2.0 aperture and triple rear camera setup of 48MP (f1.6) +12MP (2x Zoom) + 8MP (Ultra wide). This time Oneplus has worked to stablizing the image while recording a video, they have used gyroscope and EIS. With this technology they have made a huge improvement in recording quality, now you can record perfect video while riding bicycling or skating. It allows you to record video at 4K at 30/60 fps or 1080P at 30/60 fps. You can also record Time-Lapse with the new OnePlus 7T. The portrait and Nightscape mode also performs well. The details can be clearly seen and image processing is also fast as well as nice.

Specifications & Storage

The OnePlus 7T is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor (Octa-Core, 7nm ,up to 2.96 GHz) and GPU Adreno 640. The performance of processor 855+ is improved by 15% as compared to the 855 processor. It runs on the Android 10 base OxygenOS and has almost clean environment without any bloatware. This is the first device in the flagship segment to have Android 10. OxygenOS 10 ran perfectly smoothly. Heavy apps and games opened quickly, and we had no trouble whatsoever with multitasking. There’s dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 ac; Bluetooth 5 with aptX HD and LDAC; GPS; NFC; and all the usual sensors. OnePlus also says its haptic vibration motor and in-display fingerprint sensors have been improved compared to previous models. There are a few missing high-end features: Wi-Fi 6, wireless charging.

It comes in two variant – 8 GB RAM & 128 GB Storage priced at Rs.37,999 and 8 GB & 256 GB at Rs.39,999. There is not dedicated slot in the sim tray but OnePlus offers cloud storage of 55 GB without any additional charge. So that its users don’t have to worry for storage and they can continue to save their personal data without any trouble.



Battery & Box content

OnePlus 7T has battery of 3800 mAh and supports Warp Charge 30T. You will get the fast charger in side the box. The Company claims that the battery optimizations is done well and can last up to a day. Using the bundled charger, we got to 9 percent in five minutes and 43 percent in 20 minutes. As for OnePlus’ claim about charging up to 70 percent in half an hour, we came very close to matching that, with 68 percent. The smartphone has the stereo speakers which gives user an amazing experience while watching movie or watching a video. There is a plastic case in the box for the protection and is quite better. Rather than that you will find a USB Type-C cable, some basic paper works and user manual along with the sim ejector tool.
